Tech. Chasing

I spend too much time being wowed by technology. Excited by the latest camera or software leads to spending time appreciating the new features which is usually followed by large amount of time trying to get it to do simple changes which appear to defeat it.
I recall someone once telling me about KISS (KeepIt Simple, Stupid) where the "Stupid" refers to the person, in this case me. A similar quote is "If it's not broke don't fix it."
Well I fall foul of this behaviour.
Coupled with this environment is the ever migration to subscription pricing, £5 per month for this program, another £6.99 per month for this cloud space, £27.99 for mobile, £3.50 for pro feature.....
This is aggravated as some products are relaunched, Flickr bought by SmugMug, Apple drops Aperture, etc.
So one has to balance features, time and price whilst still going out there and taking yet another 500 photos today, never did this when using film. But technology has reduced time for taking photo to seeing image from several days to 1 second and consumables to almost zero.
I wrote this page to learn how to use Adobe Portfolio.
